Conservatives Take Action

Monday I participated in my first Heritage Action phone meeting, and it gives me hope for the future of our great country. This group of Conservatives is available to assist us with writing letters to the editor of our local paper (if needed, of course), calling talk radio programs, having Tea Party's, and the such; whatever your talents may be. It is almost always better to be armed with facts, because facts are stubborn things.

Here are some notes I scribbled:

Monday at 5:30 pm EST we will have a phone meeting. We will discuss upcoming legislation.

Right now Congress is in their second week of their seven week recess. This gives us opportunities to reach out to them and share our views. The Heritage Action Hub is a great place to find all the necessary resources, such as scheduled Town Hall meetings, coffees, meet and greets, etc.

These three issues are what is of concern at this time:

1. The Continuing Resolution (CR) must not be permitted to continue. We send them to Washington to make a budget, so do it. If they do not, the money "runs out"  September 30, 2016 (everyone gets paid eventually). We must fight against that CR.

2. They should not be allowed to draft our daughters!

3. Support the First Amendment Defense Act (FADA).

If any of this is new to you, that's alright. Please join the Heritage Foundation, and you can find more information there. Let's get out there and make a difference! Thank you, and God bless you.

RNC: They Cheered, I Cried

I wasn't expecting much today as I listened to the roll call (which, btw, they denied to Conservatives yesterday) but to my surprise, Trump received Iowa's delegates! This is odd, because Sen. Ted Cruz won that state.

Then they manipulated the state delagates (out of alphabetical order) so New York could put him over the top with the count.

I know it's silly. I didn't expect it. But I wept. This does not bode well for him or for me.

He would rather court Bernie Sanders' supporters than Conservatives. Then Sen. Mitch McConnel and House Speaker Paul Ryan are to show up? Talk about inside politics!

Thank you very much to all you phony Conservatives who nominated this Democrat. Great job. We never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

The only thing worse would be Hillary in the White House...

I don't want to post anything about it though...yet...maybe. Have a blessed night.

Juno at Jupiter

I came across this fascinating fact a few days ago. NASA has successfully sent a "spaceship" into Jupiter's orbit! I find that remarkable. While everyone was waiting to see if we could find life on Mars, NASA went the other way. Incredible.

To learn more about Juno (the ship), read more here. Have a blessed day.

Time Consuming

I have spent most of the day researching the civil wars and peace treaty between the North and South Sudan. This is so much history for not having written history until the 1800's.

There is a really good site which I highly recommend named, GlobalSecurity.org. This has information on the civil wars in Sudan between the North and South.

You can also find history and facts to many issues that interest you. Well, if you're interested in the world around you that is. Have a blessed day.

I'm Back!

Hello. I have many posts over at Rosemary's Thoughts. I just cannot seem to get blogger to give me access to my old account(s). Oh well. A new site isn't that bad after all...maybe. God bless.
